What it does
- Installed on the outside air intake of ventilating and conditioning plants, mainly in extremely arid and sandy areas.
- Works on the inertia of heavier dust particles in an air flow forced through an S-shaped passage with a sudden change of direction.
- Heavy particles keep their linear motion, crash against the vertical blades and fall to the bottom, where they leave through outlet holes.
- This working principle keeps the sand trap self-cleaning.
- For normal operation, rate for a face velocity of about 1.0 m/s.
